Adaptable children

One of the most valuable lesson that the social and economic crisis caused by the pandemic is probably that the humans survive thanks to our ability to adapt to changes. The only constant in the history of mankind is change. Especially unexpected ones. Both from nature and from human society itself.
So, the dichotomy between an education prepared for our children to be happy and an education prepared to train well informed men and women should be solved with a third option. An education that forms thinking beings, capable of using their imagination and creative abilities to devise adaptive solutions in situations of unforeseen changes.
An education that offers children adequate information to ask relevant, essential questions is needed. Questions that will allow them, future adults, to find original and competent answers. Questions that help them guide the search for the necessary information to understand new problems. Questions the lead them to find the answers they’ll need to face new challenges from nature and from society.
